On the baptism record of my 3 x gt grandmother, Sarah Millard, she is recorded as the daughter of William Millard and Dinah, daughter of Thomas King. http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&db=GloucBMDearly&rank=1&new=1&MSAV=1&msT=1&gss=angs-d&gsfn=sarah&gsln=millard&msfng0=william&msmng0=dinah&dbOnly=_C000000F%7c_C000000F_x&uidh=zs8&pcat=34&fh=0&h=1119862&recoff=9+10+37+38+49+50&ml_rpos=1

This is the marriage of William Millard and Dinah King in Frampton on Severn in 1780 http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&db=GloucMarriages&rank=1&new=1&MSAV=1&msT=1&gss=angs-d&gsfn=william&gsln=mill*&dbOnly=_C000000F%7c_C000000F_x&uidh=zs8&mssng0=dinah&pcat=34&fh=1&h=968169&recoff=9+10+30&ml_rpos=2

However the only birth I can find of a Dinah King is baseborn to Susan King in 1754 in Frampton on Severn http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&db=GloucBMDearly&rank=1&new=1&MSAV=1&gss=angs-d&gsfn=dinah&gsln=king&dbOnly=_C000000F%7c_C000000F_x&uidh=zs8&msbdp=10&pcat=34&fh=8&h=1958680&recoff=9+10+38&ml_rpos=9

There is a Thomas King in Frampton baptising children in that time frame but with a wife, Sarah. One of the witnesses to Dinah's marriage was a Samuel King - Thomas and Mary King had a son Samuel.

I'm now stuck! Where to next? All ideas welcome.

Thanks

A Susan King is baptised in 1719 to John and Honor King, in Frampton on Severn. Amongst their other children is a Thomas, b 1717. Perhaps he adopted Dinah?

John King dies in 1743 and in his Will bequeaths some land to his daughter Susan, to be passed to his Thomas on her decease. http://interactive.ancestry.co.uk/4294/41513_326827__0002-00090/6987?backurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ancestry.co.uk%2f cgi-bin%2fsse.dll%3fdb%3dGloucesterWills%26rank%3d1%26 new%3d1%26so%3d3%26MSAV%3d1%26gss%3dms_r_db%26gsfn %3dhonor%26gsln%3dking%26msrpn__ftp%3dFrampton%2bO n%2bSevern%252c%2bGloucestershire%252c%2bEngland%2 6msrpn%3d83825%26msrpn_PInfo%3d8-%257c0%257c0%257c3257%257c3251%257c0%257c0%257c0%2 57c5265%257c83825%257c0%257c%26dbOnly%3d_F8007BFB% 257c_F8007BFB_x%26dbOnly%3d_F8007BFC%257c_F8007BFC _x%26dbOnly%3d_F0007BFD%257c_F0007BFD_x%26dbOnly%3 d_83004005%257c_83004005_x%26dbOnly%3d_F0007BFE%25 7c_F0007BFE_x%26uidh%3dzs8%26msydp%3d5&ssrc=&backlabel=ReturnSearchResults#?imageId=41513_32682 7__0002-00090

His son Daniel and his heirs are charged to pay Susan 10s a year "for ever".

This is nine years before the illegitimate birth of Dinah to a Susan King.

Then, in 1795 Susannah King (no age given), a spinster is buried in Frampton on Severn. None of which proves a thing :(

I guess I'm looking for a bastardy order - not sure where though.
