I have in my tree that Jonathan Dawson was buried on 22 December 1867 at St Thomas, Charlestown (Halifax), Yorkshire but for some reason I have no source and now I can't find where I found the information. Can someone please help me?

Now assuming the date above is correct how likely is it that he would have died in late November? I've found a newspaper article in the Leeds Times for 30 November 1867 saying he died on Monday.

Googling says 30 Nov 1867 was a Saturday so he died on 25 November 1867 according to the paper.

The parish register image for that burial is on ancestry and it is John Dawson of Southowram, age 55:

The GRO death index for that quarter has a John Dawson 55 registered at Halifax as well as Jonathan Dawson age 51, so that burial doesn't look likely to be the right one.

Thanks Kate. The age is 55 on the burial and Jonathan would have been 51 so the registered death is him.

So the newspaper is him as it fits in with the 1861 census. Now to find his burial.
