I'm helping a friend.

Emma Wood born 1832 in Branstone, Staffordshire (sometimes it loses the e. Yes it is the place where Branston pickle was first made)

Parents Joseph and Mary. Emma as baptised 30 Sep 1832 at St Modwen's, Burton upon Trent.

1841 she's with her parents and siblings.

Just can't see her in 1861.

She had two illegitimate children, one is with her in 1871 in the workhouse. The other in 1861 is a nurse child in Abbots Bromley, and with her sister Ann in 1871.

I can't find her. There are a few E W's about the right age in workhouses in Staffs but none quite fits.

She is recorded in the household of a farmer named Joseph Adams.

Here she is on Ancestry. They have her as 38, but the record is faint. Place of birth is recorded as 'Brenstone' (very posh-sounding pickle pronunciation!):
