Does anyone have any idea what Churchewell, Crutwell etc might translate to?

Malborough parish seems to consist of a dozen scattered hamlets. This might be just a farm, but I cannot find it in any Google searches, although most of the other places do come up (Batson, Ilton, Hope Barton, Coombe etc)

The references I have are in the 1600s, when the spelling varies wildly.

This Smith family seems to live at Churchwell in Malborough in the 1830s.

In 1841 the census page has their address as Churchell, Malborough.

Oh Great. One branch of my Adams families lives at Ilton Castle, Malborough. Another at Maryknole. Trying to fit in this Adams, from Churchell etc, he appears to live slap bang between the two
