Thomas Rymer (etc) are a bit ten-a-penny as I'm sure you know!

This one looks fitting for age and abode, but there are plenty more:

Burial: 1 Jan 1769 St Cuthbert, North Meols, Lancashire, England
Thomas Rymer -
Age: 78
Abode: Birkdale
Register: Burials 1732 - 1803, Page 44, Entry 1

There's also this burial:

Burial: 12 Dec 1744 St Cuthbert, North Meols, Lancashire, England
Ellen Rymer - Wife of Tho. Rymer
Abode: Birkdale
Register: Burials 1732 - 1803, Page 15, Entry 25
Source: LDS Film 1068944

which would fit with this marriage also at North Meols:

17 Jun 1723 Thomas Rymer & Ellin Stockley

There are probably other reasonable combinations though......

Annoyingly, I couldn't see a will for Thomas 1769, but I only looked on the Lancs wills site and don't know where else to look as I don't have any Lancs ancestors.

Thanks, Merry. I think the public trees on ancestry have Ellen as the wife of my Thomas but I need to do some checking.
