Please could anyone help with john Hollman my great great grandfather
he was born in lingfield 1798 according to 1851 census h.o.107/1586 lived in greenwich he married martha lamb in 1831 at st alphages and died in 1861
i have all the details of the family back to the marriage in 1831 but no further
i did find a baptism at lingfield library for a john holman in 1797 which is a strong possibility as the parents are thomas and jane names that crop up
with my johns children
not sure where to go next with this one

I haven't found a marriage for Thomas and Jane yet, but I have a possible baptism for Thomas Holman, the father:

Father's Name: Thomas Holman
Mother's name: Mary Holman
Reference Number: P51/1/2

Although the baptism was in Crowhurst, the register said the family lived in Godstone, just 6 miles from Lingfield. Crowhurst is 5 miles from Lingfield.

john and marthas children are martha bapt 1832, william,bapt 1833, jane, bapt 1834 lucy,
bapt 1837 john thomas, bapt 1839, etc
so i,m hopeful that is the one. he was down as being born in kent in 1801 on the 1841 census and i couldn,t find any matches there are a lot of hollmans with 2 ls around the wrotham area but i discounted those
the marriage of 1831 also doesnt give up any more information unfortunately
it does seem most likely
