Reverdy Dyason was born in Poole Dorset in 1897, the second son of Edwin Dyason, who was a merchant seaman, and his wife Ellen Gertrude, nee Foreman.

In 1916 Reverdy joined the Royal Field Artillery (Gunner 204772). By 1918 he was a Lance Bombardier in the 116th Battery.

Reverdy died on 19 Sept 1918 from gas poisoning and was buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. This cemetery had been opened in June 1918 when the service burial space at Boulogne and Wimereux was completely filled. It was used chiefly for burials from the base hospitals.
