Just came across 12 O'clock St in Brightside Bierlow, Yorkshire.

Really made me smile/

I looked on Google maps but don't think it exists now.

Named after the time the residents usually got up, maybe?

I've come across 12 O'Clock Street a few times when transcribing for a Sheffield website. I've always wondered how it got its name. I know it was demolished many years ago to make way for industrial estates. There is one built on the original road that is called 12 O'Clock Court.

According to other sites it's to do with a waterwheel that used to stand in the area. The waterwheel was an overshot wheel, not an undershot (yeh, just google! lol) and so the point where the water met the wheel was at 12 o'clock.
