Can anyone see what it says in the last two columns please? they are headed - final destination - state/city.
I think the state could be indiana (Ind)
Also Kennedy 's first name ? column is next of kin.

I cannot enlarge the image any more as it is fuzzy.

Looks like Ind to me. The brother's name looks like Jno, i.e. John. But could possibly be a scrawled Jas.

Still trying to decipher the city name...

Is it Gary, Indiana?
Could the brother's name be Joe?

Yes Gary Indiana looks good.** Wonders why he would go there** lol

He has a brother John b 1868 - Eston , Yorkshire, but I can't find him after 1891 where he is with his parents John and Margaret at Eston Junction. Anyone for a challenge?

Will be back tea time, work calls:(

Kite,

It's for Edward Kennedy b 1876 Border crossing at Sault Sainte Marie ONT Canada to Sault Ste Marie, Mich, USA, Sept 1914.

So John Kennedy was in "Newcastle, Eng" in 1914, which means there's a good chance he was there in 1911. Of course there are a couple of Newcastles to choose from - Newcastle upon Tyne or Newcastle Under Lyme, or if they were using "England" loosely to mean "England and Wales", it could even be Newcastle Emlyn. I'll have a go at the 1911 census...

Mmmm... there's a John Owen Kennedy age 45 in Newcastle on Tyne on the 1911 census, born Yorkshire, but looking at FreeBMD he was born in Ripon district which isn't very near Eston, is it? Though that GRO index page is one that's been typed up from a handwritten page *clutches at straws*

Kite,
I just wonder if maybe he emigrated to Canada too between 1891 and 1911. He could have returned to England by 1914. His parents had died before then. As well as Edward, another brother Thomas went to join the Canadian Expeditionary Forces but he didn't leave England until after 1911 (he gave Edward as his nok in Sault Ste Marie 1914 Attestation papers). The passenger lists give plenty of Kennedy's but no info as to where they came from in England.
