I've never used the SEAX site before.
Can wills be downloaded and how much do they cost?

If they have digitised the will that you want, it will be included in any sub you take out, the cheapest being £5 for 24 hours. But not many of their wills have been digitised yet. You can check whether a will is available before subscribing. This is what they say on their website:

To find an original will, select ‘New Search' and enter the name of the person who made the will (the testator) and the word ‘will'. Add a date range or a specific year if you wish. Then click on ‘Search'. In your results list, any images are shown by a frames icon at the right-hand side. If you have a subscription to Essex Ancestors, you will be able to view them. Many original wills are not yet available as images.

Thanks, Kate. Some of OH's Hertfordshire names are appearing on the SEAX website. I'm trying to unravel his Battell family, who are very complicated.

The best thing to do is to collect all the names together and do them in one fell swoop.
