It should, from the inscription, be dated 1921/2 - Does that seem right, looking at the girl's dress?

Thank you

I would have said quite a bit earlier looking at her dress & the sleeves on it, but I am sure someone will know the right answer! :d

Is the name on the bottom her maiden name?

Oh no!!! How embarrassing - I have gone completely wrong -am so sorry :o

Please ignore this thread - the photo is of the mother of the girl I was thinking of...born 1876 :o:o:o

I'm so sorry

I was in my usual early morning rush earlier and didn't explain this properly :o

For some inexplicable reason, I have always had it in my little brain that the photo was of Eileen Winifred Rathbone, born 1909, despite the fact that the name on the bottom quite clearly states Beatrice Winifred Rathbone (Eileen's mother, born 1876) :o

This would date the photo at about 1890, which seems much more likely than 1912, I think!!

Because I thought the photo was earlier, so ,as her name was on it, I did a FreeBMD search for her birth and saw the 1870s entry! lol
