View Full Version : Thomas Willsher & Mary, Coggeshall, Essex
All I know of this couple is the baptisms of their children in St. Peter Ad Vincula, Coggeshall, Essex from 1739-1760.

SEAX lists the will of Thomas Willsher of Little Coggeshall, Farmer, 6 Mar 1794, in their catalogue.
And there is a book called "A History of Coggeshall, in Essex" which says that a Thomas Willsher and a George Willsher were among the trustees of the non-conformist meeting-house property appointed 13 May 1777. There are some other Willshers mentioned in the same chapter:

(chapter starts on page 136, Thomas Willsher mentioned on page 139.)
Also I found this site which says that in 1784 a Thomas Willsher was renting Coggeshall Hall farm, rent £150, 221 acres.

Thomas Wiltshire is listed in the Poll book of 1734 freehold at Reckindon, abode Coggeshall, and in the 1763 poll book Tho Willshire, jun, abode Feering, freehold at Coggeshall.
So the other mentions of Thomas Willsher in my post #2 could be this Thomas jun, who could be the son of your Thomas?
Thanks, KR, I've only just seen this, will investigate further.
