All I know about them is their names.
Their son Thomas was baptised when he was 48 years old, and named his parents as Thomas and Mary.

Hertfordshire Names Online has a Thomas Tuffnell of Hitchin marrying a Mary Arnold at Ippollitts, 27 Oct 1754.

I'm going to have to go back to this as I did so much research on this with another lady who is descended from another branch. I think we decided the early Tuffnalls were a mystery. Somehow I remember discounting all the obvious ones, but that was before FMP had the registers online. I will have to dig out my paperwork. (GROAN - there is so much on this family).
