I've found my uncle, aunt and cousin on a list from 1963! They are shown as "disembarking at Sydney", so it is not only passengers who were travelling to Fremantle.

Fremantle was often the first port of call in Australia, and many passengers travelling on to the eastern states are listed as arriving in Fremantle, even if they did not leave the ship.

oooh, I found my Dad on the list. He was not on the outgoing list from the UK that I found on FMP with my grandma on it. He joked that Grandma was a 10 pound pom but he was a freebie as he was underage. I don't know if Grandma was actually a 10 pound pom though.

Thanks for that; my mum's there, travelling out to Australia as a war bride. I'd already found her on the index on the NAA site, but I hadn't seen the actual passenger list.

Found my Nan, too, returning to Sydney in 1953. She came to visit us when I was 5, but I spent most of the visit shut up in a darkened bedroom with measles.

I can't find this passenger list on Ancestry now.

Its gone missing.

That's strange, Maggie. I wonder whether someone complained about it having such recent information on it.

That doesn't make sense though because some of the other passenger lists go up to late 1950's and early 60's.

I think I might send a message and ask them.

Let us know what they say, please, Maggie.

Okay Don't hold your breath :) it takes weeks for Ancestry to answer questions sometimes.

I hadn't closed down the tab so I still have it. Just searched for my great grandad.

The page has changed though, the search filters are now a sliding bar

This is the link I am currently using. You'll have to change the names and dates.

I used that link to search and it works but that title isn't coming up, or I can't find it on the database list for some reason and its not letting me open the record/image. I have a World Sub so shouldn't be a problem.

Edit: that link logged me out for some reason. How weird its letting me search and open records but I still can't find it on database.

That's strange, Maggie. I wonder whether someone complained about it having such recent information on it.

It can't be that, because the index to the lists had already been on the NAA site for years.

How strange.

I've just tried it; I'd bookmarked the original link, http://search.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=5378, which no longer works, but Kit's link does work; you can search the index, and the images are still there.
