Tonight on BBC1 at 23:20, except North East & Cumbria, North West, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Yorks & Lincs, Yorkshire.

If I understand correctly, then if you are in one of the above English regions and have an HD television, you can watch it at 23:20 on BBC1 HD as there is no regional programming on the BBC HD channels. Not much use if you don't want to stay up that late and don't have an HD recorder though. Nor indeed if you don't have an HD television. (The Super League Show is in the WDYTYA slot in those regions, but I would love to know why they don't drop the old repeat of Have I Got News For You instead.) Otherwise there is the iPlayer.

BBC1 Wales and BBC1 Scotland are showing it at 00:20, and BBC1 Northern Ireland at 23:50.

That was a fascinating episode, and a very interesting story. But I read in the paper recently, and I'm sure it's true from what I've been finding out recently about my own ancestors who were early non-conformists, that although Quakers in the 19th century were among the leading abolitionists, in the 17th century Quaker merchants were big slave-owners. So I felt a false impression was given in this programme when they said that obviously her ancestor who owned a slave could not have been a Quaker, and that it seemed that Zooey was almost disowning her slave-owning ancestors and focussing on being descended from abolitionists. Though of course it's understandable she would want to do that.

I agree with you. (I must watch this episode)

I haven't found any slave-owning Quakers in my tree, but I have found a lot with occs relating to alcohol, well before the days when Quakers were teetotal!
