How can I check for baptism records? I can't find any on line for Cley.

And how do I go about looking for military records? - I've never ventured there...

This is a great idea btw - I had got back to the point of not knowing where to carry on...
I won't be buying 5 certs for each GG but at least that's 5 more to the collection of 'facts'.

Well, I went to the church and Miss Sprott unlocked the vestry for us:p

What's online is too early for you - but did you see the link I put on your other thread for wills & admons?

ooo Lucky you Phoenix...:p

I think I'll have to wait for retirement to visit Norfolk...(I'm 45 and at the rate things are going, that will be another 30 years away)

Thanks for the other link

The will just arrived...

disappointment - it's just a couple of lines to say that he left everything (about £3000) to his wife...

Oh, isn't it annoying when you get one of those?

I'd never had one like that Kite
The wills I've ordered before were a lot older and pages & pages long, difficult to decipher but worthwhile... ho hum.... can't strike lucky every time....
