Probably known as Ned or other diminuitive

Baptised 27 Feb 1749/50 in Edgefield, Norfolk, son of James Edwards and Elizabeth nee Smith

Banns called in Holt, Norfolk, where he is named as Edmond Edwards
Married a week later 30th April 1776 to Phoebe Fox, where he is still called Edmund. He signs his name.

Described as single man, of Holt, but he does make his mark.

Freereg doesn't show any baptisms of EdMOND and Phoebe in the right time frame.

Children are baptised in Edgefield from 1779 to 1798.

I don't have Edward's burial. The graveyard was abandoned in the 1800s and last time I looked was a mass of brambles.

No trace of a will.

Am having problems with Family Search at the moment, but as they seem to be persisting, will mention here that his burial does not occur 1813 - 1827 IN THE btS.

Thank you, Julie!

That Edmund was a gardener and left a will - unfortunately not on Norfolk Sources. I clearly need an excuse to go back to Norwich!

It is really bugging me that I thought I found a will for one of the sons dying in Norwich who mentioned property back in Edgefield. Of course I did not write it down, so cannot replicate the search.

Okay

So his burial was 16 March 1828 in Edgefield. He was aged 82. (So someone couldn't do the maths!)
