There's no date at all. Could someone please have a look at the image and see if there are any clues to the century! lol

It's in a section after 1691 and before marriages for 1691 but it looks to me (only on iPhone) as if 1689 is at the top of the section. That time anyway. No parents birthdate 2nd July.

Looks like 2 July 1659. It's the d.o.b. not a baptism.

Thanks very much Asa and Shona. Too early for my needs I think (if it's definitely 1659), though the possibility of it being a non-conformist family makes me want to fit her in!

The Elizabeth Mardale/Mardell I'm looking for married in 1712 and had at least five children after that.

I think this entry is even earlier. There are sections on the first page marked 1649, 1650, 1651 and, at the top of the adjacent page, 1652. These sections contain entries not in date order and seem to have been ruled off to create usable space in 1691 and 1692, which must be recycling with a vengeance!
The Elizabeth Mardell entry is the last entry in the 1650 section and the handwriting is the same as other entries in 1651 and 1652, 'Elizabeth Mardell borne July 2'.

No help to you, I'm afraid Merry, but poring over ancient registers is always very interesting.
