Can anyone find what happened to this lady after 1934?

Born 1863 Bethnal Green as Susannah Jane Pryce she married butcher Edwin Rolfe in 1885 Hackney and had four chidren, two sons killed in WWI and two daughters. By 1911, the family were in Poplar and from 1917 at 14 Cotton Street, Poplar. The elder daughter Ethel married in Poplar in 1918.

Edwin died in 1923 and is buried at Manor Park Cemetery in Newham in a communal grave. Susannah (Susie in 1911) and her daughter (Alice) Maud (unmarried) are still at 14 Cotton Street in 1934 but not afterwards and I can't find any trace of them. I think elder daughter Ethel moved to Essex in the 1930s.

There is a Susan Rolfe death on FreeBMD Oct-Dec 1938 Uxbridge, age 75, but looking at the image the given name is actually Thomas! I have submitted a correction. I can't see anything obvious right now but will have another go later as I have to go out now.

Thanks, Kate - I should say she isn't the Susan Rolfe who died in 1931 Bethnal Green - that burial is on Ancestry

There's a Susannah Rolfe, aged 83, died 4rd qtr, 1944, Maidstone, Kent. A possible, maybe?

And, a better option, Susan Rolfe, aged 85, died 3rd qtr, 1943, Essex South Western. Also buried at Manor Park...

Thanks Sue - I did look at those but now I look at the Essex one again, I think I might check the burial out. I bet it's another communal grave one :-)

I think that's quite likely - there is an Alice M Rolfe d 1961 West Ham of the right age although not on deceasedonline. It's the most likely so I'll just have to see what else turns up
