There is something written in the top right hand corner of this scrap from Ancestry's Freedom of the City Admission Papers. I know what I would like it to say ;) Can anyone read it?

And does anyone have any idea what the abbreviations next to it represent?

Don't know what the abbreviations are Sue but the rest looks like "Presented by the Painter Stainers"

That's what I thought (and hoped for) Jill, thankyou.

Those abbreviations appear on other records too so I assume it's a standard phrase used in indentures etc. No idea what though!
