You would not think that Francis Mann was a common name. At least, I didn't, but boy, was I mistaken!

I am using:
Family Search
Free Reg
Norfolk Sources
NROCAT
Genuki

Can anyone suggest other sources for the period 1700 - 1840? I have about eight couples that I need to disentangle.

Okay. Huge favour.

Could someone check to see if Ancestry has the marriage of Francis Mann to Ann Brooke in St George Hanover Square 26 Dec 1775?

Is he a widower? Who are the witnesses? What does he give as home parish?

He has children in Little Walsingham and dies in Holkham in 1812. His will mentions his wife Ann and his four children. I know this is my man because the baptisms helpfully give mother's maiden name.

There is the Norfolk Baptism Project:

and the Norfolk Transcription Archive:

Ancestry only seem to have 1800 -1832 marriages for St George Hanover Square.

St George Hanover Square counts as Westminster, not London, so it is on FMP rather than ancestry. "Of this parish", and it doesn't show marital status. Witnesses Caleb Greville (serial witness) and Jno McLaughlin.

Thank you both!

I keep on forgetting about those other two websites. And (which I should know!) that St George Hanover Square is Westminster.

At least I now know that that Francis had a beautiful signature. I wonder if the two Finsbury baptisms are his children. If I could find Francis his son's burial I'd have a better idea. They all leap around like goats.
