Admin bond question

I've just been looking at the admin bond for my lovely new 8x great grandfather who died in 1712. His widow made the oath but of the two other bound people, one is the same as her second child, a son who would have been 16. Her older child, another son was 18 then. It's more likely to be a relative of the same name than the 16 year old isn't it?

Yes, I would think so.

I have several admon bonds and all are sworn by people who have some money of their own, for obvious reasons - if the bond is defaulted, someone has to pay up! Unlikely that a 16 year old could honour a bond.
