Baptised 2 July 1743, son of William Bangay and Ann Clark, Sharrington
Married Mary Mann 29 Nov 1764, Sharrington, Norfolk.
Buried Sharrington 29 Nov 1824, Sharrington, Norfolk
Somewhere I ought to have information on what he was doing for a living. I know he was a collector for the Land Tax, he was a serial signatory in the parish records. It was probably his father who ran the Chequers in Sharrington at least between 1789 and 1794.
I think he was a blacksmith, but cannot remember the source of this information. I think he was a deponent in an Exchequer case.

Thank you, Kat! Yes, that's his dad. My branch of this family is slightly easier to follow than Kite's.
We saw the registers in the church, when best mate was pregnant with her first baby. As we don't drive, we had to walk there from Holt. Ill advisedly, we attempted a short cut. We got lost in a huge field transected with drainage ditches. If I say Sharrington to her, she immediately remembers!
