Thomas MADGE and Sarah VALENTINE

All I have found on this couple is that they married 18 October 1762 in Kingsteignton, Devon, and baptised 9 children there between 1763 and 1783.

My great uncle drew up a tree many years ago, and according to that:
- Thomas was born about 1737 (place unknown) and buried at Kingsteignton 13 April 1803
- Sarah was baptised 13 Dec 1743 at Kingsteignton and buried there 20 Sept 1813.

Thomas Madge married Jane Isaac in 1835 in Nymet Tracey, Devon, and had the following children:

- Elizabeth, bpt 17 July 1735, Nymet Tracey, Devon
- Thomas, bpt 25 March 1737, Clannaborough, Devon
- John, bpt 21 Feb 1743, Clannaborough, Devon

Could the Thomas baptised in 1737 be your Thomas?

According to the online tree Phoenix found, Thomas was bap. 25 March 1740 in Clannaborough.

The tree my g-uncle did had a dob for Thomas of about 1737 (I think this must be from his burial), and on Familysearch there are two or three possibles around that date but none exact...looks like Clannaborough is the closest.

This is a corner of my tree I haven't visited in a while, so I'll have to do some more digging. There's probably more on line than there was last time I looked.

Everything on Family Search for Devon in the past was taken from transcriptions, mainly those held in the West Coutry Studies Library.

25 March was the first day of the new year, so ought to be unambiguous, but I wouldn't mind betting that the different dates relate to the same event, copied a few times.
