These people would all appear to be in the same dwelling in 1841. Elizabeth Co(a)ker is my 5x great grandmother and Martha Phipps her daughter. I'm a bit interested in Elizabeth Sparrow as Elizabeth Coaker had a daughter Elizabeth born 1807 whose fate I haven't found. It could be coincidence of course but I've been trying to find out more about the Sparrows here to dis/prove it and am getting nowhere.

Can anyone see anything on them?

There is an Elizabeth Sparrow at 18 Mary Street, Shoreditch, on the 1861 census, a widow age 52, stay maker, born Shoreditch, with a daughter Elizabeth age 15 also born Shoreditch. l'll see if I can find them in 1851 to rule them out (or in.)

Thanks for having a look - I can't find a marriage for William and Elizabeth, a baptism for him or for Thomas. Doesn't appear to be anything on the non parochial BMDs either. I have some RC discs I'll look at.

That 1861 looks possible - there is t an ancestry baptism for Elizabeth junior

I never found them in 1851, by the way. :(

Nor could I - it makes me suspect the 1861 may be the 1841 lot because there's nothing on them

Any clues in Raisebeck as a middle name or the Vennears as witnesses?

Oh, well spotted, Phoenix! They're transcribed as Sharrow on ancestry on that 1851 census.

Just remembered that William on the 1841 census is a weaver. So maybe not the same family.

Thank you Phoenix :) that's very likely the same family as on the 1861 - the names mean nothing to me and it doesn't *feel* like my lot. I will have a look into this more - Kate, a lot of weavers were abandoning the trade at this time so it is possibly the same lot as the 1841.

Lots to investigate - thank you
