The newsletter draws attention to the fact that Ancestry are planning to do away with the old search very shortly as apparently less than 2% of subscribers use it.
I filled in the Ancestry survey mentioned in the newsletter.
The old search is so hard to find for people and so many people must not even know it exists.
Am I right in thinking that you can't search on the new search with a census reference? I think Ancestry will lose many subscribers to Find My Past and I told them that.

No, you can search using the census refs on the new search. I've just tried it out and it worked fine.
