Marg, I hope this link works:

http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/RecordDisplayTranscript.aspx?oid=558644&iid=130651

It should show the burial of John Daws a Taylor on May 27th 1756.

I think I saw a child's burial later on - will have to go back and take a lool.

This link should show you the burial of Sarah? Daws daughter of Elizabeth Daws, widow.

Ive always struggled with the lincs to the past site. I don't get anything when I click on that link. Did I read that Lincs stuff is on Ancestry now?

That's odd, Marg, because I get the page.

OK, go to this page.
http://www.lincstothepast.com/advanced-search/

Hopefully you can see some tabs close to the top of the page. You should be on Advanced Search.

In the box "with the exact phrase" type "Claypole par 1".
Click on the blue search box.
Scroll down to the bottom and go to page 2. When you get there go to the last entry " Baptisms and burials

Date: 1768-1803 Collection: Lincolnshire Archives Reference: CLAYPOLE PAR/1/2 "

Click on the heading.
You should now be in the register.
You should be able to enter the image number you want to view.
Here you want image no. 119.
You will have to use the slider to enlarge/reduce the image. Scroll down a bit until you see 1756. It's 4 lines down.

The images are on FMP but it is hit and miss. You can't search either.

The images - non-indexed as yet - are on Find My Past. Easier to read as the darn logo has gone. If you have a sub, you could browse the images.

FMP have missed lots of pages.
All you get is this:
http://www.findmypast.co.uk/records/life-events-bmds/lincolnshire/browse-images/view-image/LIFE_EVENTS_BMDS-LINCIMG-69449-46?imageNumber=46

Some of the entry is visible on the left-hand side.

For some of the registers on Lincs to the Past they have entered the surnames at the bottom of the page, which is how I found the 1756 burial.

Image 33.
This shows the burial of Eleanor daughter of William and Elizabeth Daws.

Same principle as before - once you are in the register enter the image number and you should get to the page.

John's entry was in an earlier register, so it looks as these come from the one after.

Looking at this now. I do have a sub to FMP. Hate the Lincs to the Past site, why cant they make it more user friendly? I have managed to look at those links though Elizabeth. Will look at FreeReg too.
