Louisa Gordon Jones

I am looking for the death record of Louisa Jones (nee Gordon) I know she lived in Bagillt then a high rised flat in Flint north wales. I know she died in Flint but don't know what year she died. I know she died before her husband John Samuel Jones. I don't know what year he died either, but know that he died in a Denbigh hospital for the Mentally ill which is now closed.

There is a death registration for John S Jones, Jan Feb March quarter of 1964. Estimated year of birth 1888. The death was registered in Carnarvon.

Louisa Gordon married John S Jones in April May June quarter of 1928 in Holywell Flintshire.

Do you know when she was born, Zoe?

There is more than one death for a Louisa Jones registered in Flintshire prior to 1964, assuming the death reg above is the right one.

Hi Shona,

She was born in Conway 1906, no idea what year when he was born. I have met both Louisa & her husband they were my great aunt & uncle. I knew him as Jack rather than John. I'm trying to remember how old I was when they died. I think I was abt 7or 8 when I last was louisa. I'm 39 now.

Her birth reg is Jan-Mar 1906 then.

There is a John Samuel Jones death Dec 1989 Glyndwr district, dob 9 Sep 1902. Glyndwr would be the district for Denbigh from Apr 1974 onwards (before that it was Ruthin district).

I can't find Louisa's death unless she acquired a middle name.

The only thing I could think of she may be under the name of Louisa Gordon Jones. The Gordon surname was often used

Oh, is it possible that she was born at the end of 1905, Zoe? Just found a Louisa Jones who died Nov 1987 in Delyn registration district, dob 10 Dec 1905. Delyn was the registration district for Flint at the time. Volume no is 24 and page number 307 if you want to order the cert.

Kate, it could be possible Louisa was born 1905, the date of death looks lightly as it's a couple of years before John or Jack as I knew him. & I know she died 1st. thankyou
