I have this family in 1851. However, I can't find them in 1841, when Catherine would have been 3.

There is a Mary Blackham baptism on FamilySearch 16 Feb 1841, date of birth 16 Apr 1840, St Phillips, Birmingham, parents Joseph and Sarah. So if this is the same Mary she should be 1 on the 1841 census. (I haven't managed to find them yet.) There is a matching birth registration and I can't see a death for her or another birth for a Mary who would be 9 in 1851, so I think her age is wrong in 1851.

The only Joseph Blackham I can find in Pigot's 1841 Directory of Birmingham is listed under "Manufacturers of Sundry Articles in Iron" Blackham Joseph (sad iron handle) Upper End.
I don't think that will be him, though.

If we had the address and his occupation from Mary's baptism or birth cert we would know where to look in 1841!

I've looked for them on ancestry, findmypast, UK Census Online and FreeCEN (which says it is 100% complete for Warwickshire in 1841) and no sign of them.

Kate, many thanks for looking. They just don't want to be found.
I have tried all ways of looking, but nothing worked. I

Catherine was baptised at St Mary's, Handsworth - 30th June 1837.

I wonder if they are entered under completely wrong surname, but I tried searching without a surname as well.

Yes, but the later children including Mary are baptised at St Phillip's Birmingham so they should be in that area in 1841 as Mary was baptised in April 1841. I wonder if they're on a page that's unreadable or something.
