I want a copy of the obituary for Charles William Browne.

It is on page 1406 of the Lancet for 17 Nov 1906.

There is also something on page 1827 from google books snippet view.

Some time ago I wanted to read a paper published in The Lancet and got there by going to the website (probably www.lancet.co.uk ......or .org) and searched for it there. Sorry I cannot check right now as am on my iPad and do not have access to the history in my PC

Thanks Len. The website charges for the articles. However I clicked on something and the obituaries were free to view so I was very lucky.

Is it the same link Len gave or do you have another I have two obituaries in the Lancet that I never could get for some reason also what is the equivalent medical journal in Australia

Maggie it wasn't the link Len had. I saw a copy on an ancestry tree but it was a bad copy. I googled the lancet and the year. I'm trying to find what I had now. I should have saved it. :(

here it is:

Past Issues (http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/issue/current?tab=past)

You have to select the year and issue you want and then scroll down the list of articles in the issue. The obituaries had no cost for the period I was searching.
