I've been looking at burials on Cornwall OPC from 1755 to 1810 for Elizabeth and William. There is an Elizabeth Ford, wife of William Ford affid, in the BTs, buried at St. Martin by Looe on 15/12/1770, also William Ford buried 7/12/1809 at St. Martin by Looe. I am wondering if these are possibilities? My Cornish tinners did move around and these Fords moved between Breage and Germoe and also the next generation.
There is an Elizabeth buried at Constantine 8/7/1762 which is not for from Breage/Germoe. Also a William buried at St. Michael's Mount in 29/3/1807. And thoughts/suggestions?

Affid just means there was an affidavit to say she was buried in wool, in case you don't know.

Thanks Kate, I didn't know that was it meant. I have seen buried in wool on others ... something to do with a tax I think? ..
Maybe I should contact the OPC St Martin and see if they know anything .. it is very hard to prove at that date unless there is a will though..

Ooh I am feeling a bit more hopeful that I have the right people .. the burial of Elizabeth is 15/12/1770 at St. Martin by Looe. On 16/5/1771 at St Martin by Looe is the marriage of William Ford to Elizabeth Binnick. William and Elizabeth Ford nee Richards had a son William baptised 11/9/1748 at Breage and this could be him. Unless the records have not survived I cannot find any other William and Elizabeth F? marrying in the right time frame.
