Are you sure that's the right death, Babs? FreeREG has a burial at St Mary, East Rudham, Norfolk - 28 May 1797 Thomas Parnell age 59, widower.

Oh No now you have me I think I had gone on the principle that the next Gen where at Docking so that should be him , but maybe not

That East Rudham burial may or may not be him - I've found a baptism that fits with it but the father's name is Richard and your Thomas never had a son called Richard so maybe there are two Thomases?

The baptism I found is at East Rudham - 18 Jul 1738 Thomas son of Richard and Mary Parnel.

Okay, so I can confirm that on the East Rudham parish register images on FamilySearch, there are baptisms for :
Mary daughter of Richard and Mary Parnel 1 Jan 1734/5
Thos son of Richard and Mary Parnel 18 Jul 1738
Money son of Richard and Mary Parnel 29 Mar 1741.

And FreeREG has a burial for Mary Parnel 8 Oct 1742. I haven't checked this in the images because they are quite a mess!

Your Thomas must be connected to this family, because of that name Money, but we don't know for sure whether this is his baptism or if they are cousins or some such.

Caroless might be supposed to be Carolus, some kind of Latin version of Charles?

Richard Parnel married Mary Harrison 16 Oct 1727 at Strumpshaw St Peter (from FreeREG). But that's nowhere near East Rudham.

Right so the plot thickens now so is it very far away as thought women went to where fella had work

Okay, that Strumpshaw couple are not the Richard and Mary who had children at East Rudham, because they were still in Strumpshaw when the East Rudham couple were having children there.

Right so we have two families living well apart then so mine the East Rudham ones so far

There is a public tree on ancestry which shows your Thomas as the son of Richard and Mary (East Rudham), and Money as his brother. But it hasn't got a marriage for Richard and Mary, nor who their parents were etc. Richard Parnell was buried 10 Aug 1781 at East Rudham but the burial doesn't give his age at death. Nothing I can see on that tree to prove for sure that it is the same Thomas but it looks likely.
