Thanks to Shona, I now know that Barbara was also known as Baby (baptism of two children and her burial) and that her brother Thomas Stewart was a blacksmith. She and William had another son and daughter who died young.

The family lived at Langdyke(s)/ Long Dyke(s) between the parishes of Kettle and Kennoway.

Barbara died of a nervous complaint and was buried at Kettle 29 Mar 1799.
