This is a production we put on at my first school in Devon.
I can't remember what it was about!
I am in yellow with my arms up on the left just behind the cats.
My sister is the third cat from the right.
I remember having the costume made - I was very proud of it and yellow was my favourite colour when I was little.
Date: about 1957.

My maternal grandmother (middle row far right) Florence Tivers (nee Carsons) and grandfather Harry Tivers (standing at the back on the right) taken in the back garden of their house at 33 Hambledon Road, Southfields, SW London in the late 1940s. This is my paternal grandmother, Florence Elizabeth Mitchell, 1886 to 1959, taken in 1956. Florence was the mother of 14 children and also worked in the family butchers shop. She also did all the bookkeeping and hiring and firing of staff. She and her husband and family lived "over the shop" in Bristol. Her death certificate says she died of old age though she was only 73 - the doctor said her whole body was just worn out.

She was very deaf in her later years and used a horn ear trumpet. I vividly remember shouting down it when I was a toddler and her telling me not to shout as she wasn't that deaf!

Isabella 'Bell' McGlary, nee Williamson
Photo taken in 1960 - that's me on her knee!
If you look closely, she is wearing a heart-shaped locket around her neck - a gift to her from my great-grandfather, John McGlary.
When Granny McGlary passed away, she left the locket to my mum. It contained one of the few photos we have of John.

My maternal grandparents, Florrie & Harry Tivers and my grandmother's brother Albert Carsons taken in Clovelly, Devon in about 1948
My mother's cousin, Owen John Syer Wellman (1924 - 1946), who died before she was born.
I've always found this a very striking photograph... cut down in his prime, I suppose.
