I only have her name from a marriage record on Family Search between Joseph Bonner and Martha Shilley. I cannot find any other reference to her under that name.

Name - "official" name and what they were known as – Martha Shilley

Date and place of birth – about 1776, probably in Dorset, England (according to 1851 census)

Names of parents - unknown

Date and place of baptism - unknown

Details of each of his or her marriages – to Joseph Bonner on 13 October 1806, Fisherton Anger, Wiltshire

1841 census – Langton Matravers, Dorset, with husband Joseph Bonner
1851 – 12 Chandos Street, Portsea, Hampshire in the household of son-in-law Charles Hodges.

Date, place and cause of death – unknown, but there is a death in Marylebone in June qtr 1863 which could possibly be her as it was where one of her grandsons was living at that time.

Does the marriage say whether she was a spinster or a widow, Sue?

I don't know whether she was a spinster or not. I have only seen the transcription on Family Search and unfortunately it doesn't say on there.
