I have found the marriage of Mary Stephenson & James Smith on Lincs to the Past, but can't work out what it says after his parish of Louth, it looks like "impleman" Any idea what this means?
I also can't read the name of the 2nd witness

Lynn, I thinks it's "Singleman".

Thanks Elizabeth, that makes sense :)
It says singleman & the surname of the other witness looks like Anson, can't make out their first name!

I think the witness's first name might be a scrawly "Wm".

Lovely, thanks Kate
Agree - singleman.
The first name of the witness seems to start with W and have a superscript r at the end. Poss an abbreviation of Walter?
