Anybody find a marriage between a
Thomas RUDMAN (REDMAN ) born 1814 Gravesend Kent ,and a Sophia born abt 1822 in Sheerness Kent ? probably in Kent between about 1837 and 1843 ish

They had a Daughter Sophia born abt 1846 Sheerness in Kent although I cannot find the Birth Reg ? and another Daughter Mary Ann Angeller born in 1850 Hackney on the 1851 Census

1841 Thomas is living in The Kings Head Pub Milton Kent he is a Victualler
1851 he is a Shoe Maker in Hackney.

Thanks

How do you know that is the right Thomas in 1841, please, Val? The 1851 census has a Thomas Redman in Milton, age 48, grocer and victualler, widower, at the Kings Head, Chalkwell, who is likely to be that one from the 1841, don't you think?

(Edit - the one on the 1841 census is age 35 and it is the same Kings Head as it says Chalkwell above it.)

On Mary Ann Angela's baptism, her mother's name is given as Sophia Ann Angela but this is an adult baptism so may not be very accurate.

thanks Kite I did wonder about the change of occupation thanks for finding that
and I hadn't found that baptism ? hadn't thought to look for one so late ,seems odd ? Her Husband was Frederick James Knight not Thomas ? and he was a bigamist and married another lady while married to her .

Sorry, I can't see a marriage at the moment. It isn't the Thomas Redman marriage in 1849 at St James Westminster because he married a Frances Beatty.

Are you planning to get Mary Ann's birth certificate to check the mother's maiden name?
