Ezeckiell was baptised 26 March 1679 in Bradford.

I'm not sure I understand the register as there is a ___ where the fathers name is, then something written half on the line above and the Michell Killerby of Bradford.

Ancestry says Ezeckiell is the son of Michell if Michell is male or female and if Michell is the person's first name.

Could I get some opinions please?

Ezeckiell Killerby (http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?htx=View&r=5538&dbid=2256&iid=32355_249693-00329&fn=Ezeckiell&ln=Killerby&st=d&ssrc=&pid=9820911)

The something on the line above is Church and is just the end of the heading to the list...."The Regester of all the Christneings att Bradford St Anne Church 1679"

I would think Michel was male (but not 100% sure, but probably Michael?!) and the line is probably to fill the gap where there wasn't room to write the word.

There's a Michael Killerby marrying Elizabeth Firth two years before in Haworth.

Thanks Merry. I would have accepted that spelling as Michael but the line made me wonder if it was Michelle.

I'll look at that marriage.
