Sarah Purdy's thread says her husband is John rather than William, but as John was their son's name I'm guessing Wm is right?

I hadn't realised that I had previously put up a thread for Sarah http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=154875#post154875, I have now changed the name of her husband.
I have baptisms for 4 children, William 1811, James 1814, John 1817 and Sarah 1819
Thanks for finding the marriage Merry :)

Thats interesting, thanks Shona. The surname has many variations. I believe that I have a remarriage for him in Derbyshire with the spelling Lassells to Sarah Clarke 26/2/1831 St Alkmund Derby. The couple then have Laura bap St Alkmund 5/1/1832 (Lasscells) and William bap 10/8/1833 St Werburgh Derby. I know this seems a long way from Essex but his son John married in Derby in 1845, whilst being in the marines based at Chatham & it makes sense that he met his wife & married in Derby as his father was already there. There don't appear to be many other with that surname in Derby at that time.
