BK6 updated from this thread

I need to buy this will which shows up in the FMP death duty index.

The entry is 12 from the bottom of the following page:

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/DeathDutySearchResultServlet?pageNo=2

Testator: Thomas Horniman

Executor: Hannah Horniman, Reading

Court: *something* Berks

What does the *something* say?

Is the word 'Grey'?
Looking at the entry seven places above Thomas Horniman (John Horlock in Dorset) the word looks similar.

Don't know what that would mean though, sorry.

Could it be Arcy = Archdeaconry?

lol That's a bit unfortunate! I think you could be right though. :) Thanks.

I got distracted too, but without looking, my first thought was Consistory - so I suspect Kite is right.

It looks like 'Arcy Berks'.
