Rebecca was the widow of my great grandmother's brother who was killed in WW1. I'm hoping that anything of his would have been passed down (and hopefully kept!).

I see that a Catherine Anne Downes died in 1973 in Kent according to the death indexes on Ancestry - can someone provide me with the details please so I can order a cert. Many thanks :)

She is her sister! Just been looking at the marriage cert to find that both Catherine and her husband were witnesses at Rebecca's 1915 marriage to my great great uncle Charles Guilford... only to discover that you found it last night :d :d

At least Catherine's descendants would have an understanding of who Charles was and would be less inclined to throw photos etc away (well let's hoping anyway :o)

Hopefully, through finding the informant on her death cert etc.

Although, I've just emailed an old contact who may know of living descendants on this side of his [Fawcett] family :)
