There are a couple of possible death registrations in Newton Abbot registration district (the right one for Bickington at that time) - one Apr-Jun 1843 and one Jul-Sep 1846.

Thanks Kate. I'd seen those but I live in hope that one day I'll get to see a burial register which may tell me which cert to order. :rolleyes:
