don`t laugh ...how do I search freebmd for O`Connor births ??
oconnor - invalid surname
o`connor - invalid surname
O`Connor - invalid surname
OConnor - invalid surname ...... help ;(
for the record I am researching
Charlotte Emily O`Connor who married William Henry Fleet in mar qtr 1931 Liverpool...
William Henry had a Decorating Company here in Garston , but I am researching his wife....I believe she was 2 years older than William - so born around 1901/1902

Having looked at your post again, it looks like your apostrophe is facing the wrong way (` instead of ')

On my keyboard this ` (ie the wrong one) is under the Esc key and ' (the right one!) is on the same key as the @ symbol.

Thank you all.....sorted ....same key as Merry said....feel a fool , cos I`ve had trouble before with apostrophe names FOR 9 YEARS....that`s hilarious....

Hi I am Chuck Gaish been doing trees for 12 years just to make you fell less foolish for a backwards apostrophe, I had a computer problem that the help line tried to fix the words they asked me to type in to fix it did not work.
Later my son pointed out that I was typing in the words Forward slash and it should be /
Now did I feel really stupid.
