Occupation(s): None, though the 1861 census she is lodging with a family and is listed as a nurse.

Date and place of burial: 15th July 1863 at Burngreave Cemetery, Sheffield. Widow aged 65. Buried with daughter Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Armitage, and a number of their infant children.

There is a baptism on FamilySearch for Mary Ann Bennett, 17 Apr 1796 at St Peter (Cathedral), Sheffield, parents Samuel and Martha.

Hi Kite,

I do have the witnesses to the marriage and unfortunately they were both resident witnesses for the church.

The baptism looks promising though I am not sure how I will be able to get further back with Mary Ann and prove if this is her baptism or not.
