I know his name from his son's baptism ref (assuming it's the right one). The son, John Payne (http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10034&highlight=john+payne) named one of his children Caroline Rebecca (http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4444&highlight=caroline+rebecca+payne).
Richard was possibly married at the time of John's birth (the baptism gives the mmn, and the marriage to Rebecca was much later).
