Looking for the birth & death certs of My great grandmother, born 1880 in Newtown died 1947 in Minffordd. married in 1899. (this is the wife of my very elusive great grandfather Edward.

On the marriage cert names William as her father (stone mason)

In 1911 Mary Jane says she is 31 and b somewhere beginning with Llan!

In 1901 she says she is 21 and born in Llanwnnog, Montgomeryshire (which is what I expect the 1911 says!)

So, where does she says she was born in Newtown?

You are right it was Llanwnog, she married in Newtown, from what my father has said about his grandmother, than most of Mary's family from LLanwnog, Newtown, or Llandinum.

Right, it looks likely she was born just after the 1881 census as she is not with parents here:

but is with them here, aged 9, in 1891:

Note William's occ has changed slightly, but the children fit across both census pages.

Sorry Merry, you are right it was llanwnog, she married in Newtown, i'm told most of her family came from, llanwnog, newtown, llandinum. or caersws.

Just looked at the links you gave me, I noticed there was a Benjamin on it, I know that my dad has often said Mary had a brother Benjamin,
