Italian Research

Never had to do any research in Italy before and am stuck already!

I am looking for the parents of someone I believe to be still alive. He was born in 1920 in Treviglio, Italy. Married and lived in England after the WWII.

Can someone please tell me what parish/county of Italy I would find Treviglio. I haven't found anything yet that seems the right place to search.

Wikipedia says it is in the province of Bergamo, in Lombardy, if that's any help.

Have had a look around but can't find anything to help with that area. Oh well think I'll have to forget it for now.

There's hardly anything online for Italy, I'm afraid, and nothing for Treviglio as far as I can see.

Familysearch are indexing Italian records, but it's going to be a slow process, because I don't think they have many volunteers. Treviglio isn't on their current list of indexing projects, and according to the familysearch site, it doesn't seem to have been microfilmed either.
