Possible marriage for the parents - John Balls / Mary Smith 26 Sep / 11 Oct 1779 Loddon, Norfolk (probably 26 Sep is the date of the Banns and 11 Oct the date of the marriage). I'll see if I can find the image for more details.

Found the image - number 30 in Loddon marriages.
John Balls of the parish of Mundham single man and Mary Smith of this parish single woman were married in this church by Banns 11th Oct 1779 witnesses Saml French and, er, not sure what the other one's name is.
