Woohoo! Thank you, Kite! Found the original of my grandparents' marriage cert so far. The rest of the family must be waiting to be found, if only I didn't have to go out just now! :D;(

Thanks, Kite, I found quite a few people that I didn't know were non-cons.

It's very hard from some of the records to tell which chapel is concerned, isn't it?

Does this help you any, Mary?

I took the code from the first column (in my case BNC19) and used it to locate the Sutton In Craven (Baptist) chapel in the browsing facility, i.e., on the Search page on the left where it says Narrow by Collection I clicked on West Yorkshire, Non-Conformist Records, 1646-1985 and then Browse Individual Records. From there I chose BNC19 Keighley, Oakworth, Sutton. I still had to page through until I found the start of the Sutton Baptist records, which I located on page 540. But oh what a find! I may have to have my nose surgically removed from the computer screen in a few weeks' time.

Oh, and you have to know (or guess) which archive location your desired reel is under. There's a drop-down for that. Mine was Bradford. In retrospect, I suppose that's what the 'B' in BNC19 stands for.

I know that doesn't help when you've found a page to look at and it doesn't say what chapel it's from. You would think Ancestry could have provided a running header to tell you that, wouldn't you?

Yes, this is my problem. Very irritating.
