Also some Northants marriages and various other parish records but those are the main ones:

Thanks, Kite. I see they also have new Yorkshire records from the Sheffield & District Family History Society.
I ran a search for my Charles Johnson in Yorkshire (West Riding) and turned up 7 names. The most interesting to me is JOHNSON Charley 1879 Wakefield Yorkshire (West Riding) because I know the family referred to him as "Charlie".
If SKP could look for me, by any chance does he have a father John Johnson, a farmer?
hi all, my elusive grandfather had one brother robert who was born in 1910 in sheffield south for some some reason, can anyone find a baptism for him, cheers

Certainly not without his surname!
Edit: if it's Robert Frederick Girling who you mention here:
first boy robert frederick girling born south sheffield 22 aug 1910, only have short copy of birth so no details, my father albert henry girling born liverpool 4 july 1912, marriage of parents not until 1915
there is no bap for him on the FMP records currently available. However, that post of yours says he is your uncle, not your grandfather's brother, so maybe the wrong person.
sorry merry, my fathers only brother, my mistake, i only have a 1964 short copy from somerset house which has little more than his name, i thought if there was a baptism i might get some details, but thanks for looking anyway

You can order a copy of the full certificate from the GRO, Bidston.
